I was completely wrong about the weather in Paris, it was so hot that I could even wear short sleeve. And I have to say that I'm much more of spring and summer. For this sunny day I'm wearing a black outfit with touches of silver, white and fluor (this last one is starting to be my beloved trend for this season!).

My heart is getting worse and worse every minute because I'm starting to falling in love with Amsterdam! I came here with a planned schedule (the Van Gogh museum, the Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank's house... all that tourists do in this beautiful city), but I gotta say that improvised plans can be the best ones. So I choose the street markets, the unexpected visit to Haarlem, riding through the never-ending canals or tasting slavinken (typical Dutch dish), made by dutch friends.

PS: I have not yet gone and I'm missing all this!

Cada minuto que pasa es perjudicial para mi salud. Amsterdam me está robando el corazón! Llegué aquí con un programa establecido para cada día (el museo Van Gogh, el Rijksmuseum, la casa de Ana Frank... todo eso que hacen los turistas en esta preciosa ciudad), pero reconozco que los planes más improvisados pueden ser los mejores. Por eso me quedo con los mercadillos callejeros, la visita inesperada a Haarlem, los paseos sin rumbo (en bicicleta!) por los interminables canales o que unos amigos te cocinen slavinken, una receta típica holandesa. 

PD: Aún no me he ido y ya estoy echando de menos todo esto!

The holidays are going so fast that I don't even have time to update. Two weeks in Amsterdam won't be enough... So here you have a quick post of the first day. It's a simple but comfy look!

Las vacaciones están pasando volando, tanto que no tengo tiempo ni para actualizar. Veo que las dos semanas que me esperan en Amsterdam no van a ser suficientes... Pero aquí os dejo un post con fotos del primer día. Un look simple pero cómodo!

You'll agree with me that nobody wants to open the wardrobe with so high temperatures, and the best look for these days is a casual one. But if you spend (like me this year) part of your holidays away from the beach, do not forget the linen, one of the best allies for the hot summer!

Estaréis de acuerdo conmigo que a una se le quitan las ganas de abrir el armario con tanto calor, y que lo mejor es un look playero y desenfadado. Pero si algunas pasáis este año parte de las vacaciones lejos de la playa (como es mi caso), no os olvidéis del lino, uno de los mejores aliados para no derretirse bajo los intensos rayos de sol!

The weather is crazy. I've never seen a July as grey as this one in my life. August, however, started sunny... I truly hope this will continue, at least for those who start holidays this month. And although I still have a week to stay in Barcelona, I've started to think what I will put in my suitcase. Any idea?

El tiempo está loco. No he visto un julio tan gris en toda mi vida. Agosto, sin embargo, ha empezado bien... Esperemos que siga así, sobre todo para aquellos que ahora comenzamos las vacaciones. Y aunque a mí todavía me queda una semana para despedirme de Barcelona, ya estoy pensando qué llevaré en la maleta. ¿Alguna sugerencia?

FORMENTERA IS MY PARADISE

Formentera tiene algo especial. Sus playas, su gastronomía, su clima y el recuerdo con el que vuelvo de cada viaje hacen que esta isla ocupe un lugar especial en mi memoria. Por suerte, esta vez he podido disfrutar al máximo de mi escapada. Recomiendo pasear por sus calles sin ningún plan establecido, entrando en tiendas como Vintage, Mar Mar y la perfumería Can Carlos, donde compré un aroma de flor de azahar muy fresco, ideal para el verano. En cuanto a la comida, reconozco que no me he podido resistir al tiramisú de Ca Na Pepa, el flan de queso de Pequeña Isla, una copa de vino en Can Toni o la caipiroska de fresa en Blue Bar con su respectiva puesta de sol. Todo un paraíso... terrenal.

Formentera is a very special island for me. The beaches, the food, the weather... Fortunately I've enjoyed all these things during my recent stay. If you ever go there, I truly recommend shops like Vintage, Mar Mar and Can Carlos. Talking about food, don't leave the island without tasting Ca Na Pepa, Pequeña isla, Can Toni and Blue Bar, where you can stare at beautiful sunsets. No need to say Formentera is paradise!
